Utah Swarm Code of Conduct
Families/Coaches:
I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice, or other youth sports event.
I will place the emotional and physical wellbeing of my child ahead of my personal desire to win.
I will insist that my child play in a safe and healthy environment.
I will support coaches and officials working with my child, to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all.
I will remember that the game is for youth - not adults.
I will do my absolute best to make youth sports fun for my child.
I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect regardless of race, sex, creed, or ability.
I will help my child enjoy the youth sports experience by doing whatever I can, such as being a respectful fan, assisting with coaching, or providing transportation.
I understand that if I have a coaching/team concern or question that I should speak with the Head Coach in private and not during a game unless it is a matter of safety.
I understand that if my or my guest’s behavior is disruptive, abusive, or threatening that I can be removed from the game. If the issue continues or becomes violent, myself, my family and player can be suspended or removed from the team. NO refunds will be issued to anyone that is removed from the team.
Players/Families/Coaches:
I will follow the rules and code of conduct for each park and league we are at regardless of my personal feelings about the rules.
I will NOT: Exhibit unsportsmanlike conduct
. • Use abusive, obscene, or profane language.
• Engage in verbal or physical threats or abuse aimed at any coach, parent, player, participant, umpire, League Staff, or any other attendee.
• Initiate a fight or scuffle with any coach, parent, player, participant, umpire, League Staff, or any other attendee.
• Cheer against the opposing team.
Players:
I will be a good teammate by cheering on my team and trying my best during all Swarm games, scrimmages, practices, and other team activities.
I will come to practices and games prepared and ready to work.
I understand that if my behavior is disruptive, abusive, or threatening that I can be removed from the game. If the issue continues or becomes violent, I can be suspended from the team or removed from the team.
I understand that my attitude, behavior, skills and performance during practices, games and scrimmages directly impacts my playing time and positions played. Playing time is NOT based on perceived fairness.
